During his tenure in the Assembly,
Bob Huff has strongly opposed higher taxes, opposed illegal immigration,
and worked with law enforcement to make communities safer.
As Chair of the Assembly Republican
Caucus, he helped lead efforts to cut waste from government, restore
fiscal responsibility in Sacramento and improve California’s economic
climate.
His good work has earned him 100%
legislative vote rankings from the California Taxpayers Association, the
California Chamber of Commerce, and the California Manufacturers and
Technology Association. His efforts to fight higher taxes earned
Bob an “A” from the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association.
Prior to his election to the Assembly,
Bob served on the Diamond Bar City Council from 1995-2004, and served as
Mayor of that city in 1997 and 2001.
Born in Calexico, California,
Assemblymember Huff grew up on his family’s farm in the Imperial Valley.
Mr. Huff attended Westmont College in Santa Barbara, where he earned a
bachelor’s degree in psychology, graduating with honors.
